I didn’t have the high school today. So after my morning classes, Mary and I went to Tainai for the afternoon. We met at the park hotel at about 12:30. We ate lunch and then drove the ski area. We chose the park at the back of the mountain because it had easier slopes. We parked, got suited up, and went to the lodge. While Mary waited with the baby I took the first run. As I was riding the list, it started to snow. By the time I got to the top of the mountain, the snow had started to fall heavily. Well to make a long story short, I got lost and ended up on the wrong side of the mountain. I had forgotten to take my telephone, so I couldn’t call Mary to come and pick me up. My only choice was to ride the lift back up the mountain, in the snowstorm, and ski back down the other side of the mountain. By the time I finally got back to the lodge, it was too late for Mary to have a turn. She was very unhappy and told me no uncertain terms. But what could I do?
I told her that we could try again tomorrow...if the weather is nice.

I feel terrible. My whole body aches. We went skiing in today, and although Mary skied very well... I spent most of my time on my ass. The slopes at Taiani are just too steep for me. When I started going down slopes too fast, I began to panic. When I panicked, I lost my balance. I fell down. Many times.
On every run she took, Mary seemed to improve. On her last run down the mountain, she only fell two or three times. On my last run down the mountain, I fell down twice... But each time, I fell hard. Now my back hurts, I have a headache and a black eye. I’m very tired and I want togo to bed. goodnight...
