Dusty and Kyler Sledding

My feeling is that if his friends are involve he will be less likely to do it once and give up. I also put off buying supplies for the class until I saw him do it.

Well, today we went and everyone had a fantastic time.
We got up at 6:30 so we could arrive there by around 9:00 and have time to rent equipment and play before class.  We all sledded on the Kiddy Course.

Several weeks ago Dusty came to me and told me he wanted to learn to ski. This came from nowhere that I know of and took me by surprise. But happy that he would ask to learn something new I jumped at it.

I decided to plan this so he would have maximum fun and still learn. I had Mary ask the other mothers at Swimming School if they might want to have their kids go too.

Pushing Kyler on the Sled

As I was eating I started thinking about how much fun we all had today. I haven’t had soo much fun for a long time.

After lunch I took Dusty to Alpine sports and he chose a set of Woody (from Toy Story) skis. I bought some Fun Ski boots and the Fun Ski.

I was amazed at the ability of the staff to helps me. I also got some new Gore-Tex gloves, ski glasses and so on.

My poor credit card bore the weight of the whole set. Moan, groan....
But I am totally excited about next Sunday.  I hope it is a nice day so I can try my new set of skis.

Play in the Snow

At 10 Dusty went to his lesson and the grown up sat down and chatted for 90 minutes. Dusty was kind of shaky at the beginning but as time moved on he started to lead the group.
Next week, if everyone is up for it, they are going to ride the lift up the mountian and ski down.

After sking we went back and played in the snow for an hour.
