Sado Day 3

July 31st, 2002

Kamikiri Mushi

Woke up feeling good this morning. The weather has been kind. Not too hot and clear blue skies.  After breakfast we went bug hunting. Found a big one sitting on a sponge at the sink area.

As Mary and the kids went swimming (I’m still a little red from yesterday) I broke camp and packed the car. We all got showers (icy cold) and continued on our trip around the island.

Taraibune

We stopped in Ogi and rode the Taraibune.  It’s a traditional Sado amusement.  They also had speed boats there, but we didn’t ride that because nobody had water skis to rent.

Everyone gave it a Try

on the Car Ferry

After Ogi we cut across the island to return to port for the car ferry.  We park, did a little shopping for Omiyage, got drinks... just killing an hour waiting for the ship.

When we got back to Nakajo, the dog acted like he hadn’t gone for a walk in 3 days.  Guess that’s another pet hotel I can add to my list off expensive places that treat my dog badly.... :(
