Dentist’s View of the Problem

Before

The Solution

With the New Cap

My Brave Son

I was so proud of Dusty, today.  When we came here 2 weeks ago they drilled and drilled his tooth. It caused him considerable pain and took 4 novacain shots to numb him up.  It was a horrible experience... but we got through it. When we made the next appointment the Dentist PROMISED no drilling the next time.... but he did. Just a little to clean the packing out of the tooth so the could take molds, but enough to break his word.

I was sure he would fight me on the third appointment, but with just a few assureances from me, he got into the car and we went again.  He was terrified. I could see it in his eyes and stiff body movements. I was a little worried that something might go wrong and I would lose the faith he was placing in me, but it didn’t and we came through it none the worse for wear and with a shiny new silver tooth.

The boy is growing up. He was on the edge of panic, but was able to overcome his fear and do what was necessary.  That’s what made me proud!
