We got up early this morning because we had to go to the DMV and get Mary’s license renewed and deposit money in the American bank account before heading down to see Mary’s family in Bertrand, MO.  Before going we talked to Jeff and he aggreed to be in charge of setting up JC’s birthday party. On the way out of town we stopped at Verizon and got a pre-paid Cell Phone to keep in touch with everyone during the trip.

When we arrived down in Bertrand at Eric’s house, we were surprised how nice it was. They had told us they had a new house, but they hadn’t sent us any pictures.

We played at their house for awhile and then we went out for dinner. We went to Pizza Hut. At the restaurant, Mary and I ate pizza. It was really good.  But of course the children had to be difficult.  Dusty only ate breadsticks and Kyler would only eat breakfast cereal.  Afterwards we drove to Tennessee and saw Sherry.  Sherry and her new husband had a cute little house in the back hills of Tennessee.  We visited them for a while, watched a movie, and drove back to Missouri.

The next day, we hung around Eric’s house and relaxed. They cooked us some good food, we watched some videos and had a nice relaxing time.

While Mary hung out with her family, the boys and I played around the house.  We played with the dogs and watched TV. Then we went over to Gary’s house. We watched his big TV, played with his snake and I fixed his computer.
I took the hard disk out of an old computer that had been hit by lightning and put it in his new computer.  It doubled his hard disk space.

Happy Birthday
to Grandma

Today was Grandmother’s birthday.  Mary bought her a cute kitchen set as a present. We had cake and ice cream and everyone sang happy birthday.  It was the perfect ending for a family visit.
