The first event was Pirate Hat Making. All the kids made pirate hats and wore eye patches to be Jr. Pirates.

Today was Dusty’s Birthday Party. He chose a Pirate Theme for his party. We went shopping on the internet and Birthday Express had just what we wanted. We got decorations, gifts and costumes.
Dusty was the birthday boy and host. Mary was the serving wench and I was the greeter and game coordinator. (I met people at the door and sent them to the party room.)

The next game was Pin the Treasure Chest on the Treasure Map. Each child wore 2 eye patches and after spinning, tried to put a treasure chest sticker on the location of the hidden treasure.
The next game was Twister. It was fun till Dusty started getting bossy and the others lost interest. So we moved outside for Snow Cones (Kakigori).

Dusty Tried to Break The Treasure Chest Pinata
Pinata Time had a problem, the pinata was too well made. Dusty couldn’t break it. All the kids beat it but couldn’t break it... then Mary and I beat it as hard as we could... no luck. Finally, Dusty tore it down and stomped it to peices... and Mary dumped it for everyone to fight over. Whew!

Then it was present time. Everyone gave Dusty a present (one at a time). He opened them, looked at them and thanked the giver (like we practiced).
After he opened all of his (including the new bicycle we got him, not shown) he gave gift boxes stuffed with toys and candy to his guests.

Cake and Jello Time: We usually serve cake and ice cream, but Atsuki cannot eat anything with eggs and he needed something ... so we substituted jello cups.
