Today is Anjel’s first birthday. We had classes today, so the babysitters were on-duty. So they were able to join the party. We didn’t have a big event party because at 1 year old, Anjel doesn’t have any party type friends, yet. So we had a small event ; but not so small as to exclude singing, presents and cake.

After singing and cake we opened presents. Anjel really liked opening the presents but was less interested in their contents. Being his first birthday, Mary and I decided to only buy him one expensive gift. But we kept finding stuff we thought he might like... and anyway, how often will he turn one year old?
I got him this bouncing animal called Rody. And Mary got him the Playschool walker. Althought the Rody was listed as 3 years old and up I thought he would like it. When he sat on it, he fell over frontwards and hit his head. Hmmmm, bad choice... but Kyler liked it so it gets lots of play.
The babysitters were very diplomatic. They brought presents for everyone. Candy for the boys and a really loud musical truck for Anjel.
